Storytime for preschoolers

• preschool storytime is aimed at children aged 3-5 years
• mix of stories, rhymes and a simple activity
• sessions last for approximately 45 minutes.

a few hints to make storytime a positive worthwhile experience

• Listen to the stories with your child and participate in the activities
• Prepare your child for storytime by explaining it will be a mixture of stories, rhymes and activities
• Explain the need to sit quietly during the stories so that others can see and hear.

Tiny Tots is a special sharing time for parents and babies aged 0-12 months.

• Learn fun rhymes and games to play
• Discover wonderful stories to share with your child

 

To enjoy the experience be prepared to:

• Sit with your child on your lap
• Join in with the songs and rhymes
• Encourage your child's interaction with the stories
• Meet other parents and share experiences
• Leave if your child becomes distracted and restless and try again later
