The Montrose Library was opened on the 3rd of May 1986 and is located at the foot of the picturesque Dandenong Ranges in a pleasant garden setting.

The building is an award winning architectural design with feature windows and a straw ceiling. Inside, the library is light and bright, with friendly, helpful staff.

Approach to main entrance: Wheelchair and pram access from the carpark to two sets of manual doors.

Internal access: The library is on one level. People are able to access 90% of the library with wheelchairs/prams. There is clear navigation with signs. Catalogues are on high benches.

Public toilets: One accessible unisex toilet with baby change and one female toilet.
