The narrator and chief protagonist of this book is a completely obsessed man whose wife has left him. There was unanimous agreement that she did the right thing!
We did wonder if some of the nuances of the original writing may have been lost as this is a translation from the Portuguese.
Discussion ranged across many topics as we explored the meaning of obsession in its many forms. In general, members did not like the book at all, but still had plenty to say.
