Boronia Library

Special Collections: Literacy Collection, and the Outer Eastern Literacy Program operates from the same building.

Croydon Library

Approach to main entrance: Wheelchair/pram access to the entrance from the carpark. There are two sets of automatic front doors. Swing gate at the internal entrance.

Internal access: The library is on one level. There is wheelchair/pram access around library. Catalogues are on high benches.

Public toilets: Male/Female/Accessible, baby change (in the accessible toilet).

Ferntree Gully Library

Approach to main entrance: Brick ramp leading to the front entrance. Two sets of manual doors.

Internal access: The library is on one level. Wheelchair/pram access around the library. One catalogue positioned at seating level.

Healesville Library

Approach to main entrance: Wheel chair access from Maroondah Hwy with ramp and automatic door.

Internal access: The library is on one level. Catalogue is on high table.

Knox Library

entrance knox libraryParking: Free parking in the shopping centre approximately 15 metres from the library entrance. Accessible carparks near the side entrance of Myer approximately 100 metres from the library (no accessible access from these parking spaces to the library, access through Myer). Shop Mobility vehicles e.g wheelchairs and scooters are available for hire during shop trading hours. Shop Mobility is located in The Loft (upper level) at the Eastern end of Knox City Shopping Centre. Parents with prams parking spaces near the side entrance of Myer approximately 100 metres from the library.

Lilydale Library

Montrose Library

Approach to main entrance: Wheelchair and pram access from the carpark to two sets of manual doors.

Internal access: The library is on one level. People are able to access 90% of the library with wheelchairs/prams. There is clear navigation with signs. Catalogues are on high benches.

Public toilets: One accessible unisex toilet with baby change and one female toilet.

 


 

 

Mooroolbark Library

entrnace Mooroolbark LibraryParking: 25 Angle restricted parking spaces (2 hour parking) on the same side of road as the library and 12 parallel restricted (2 hour) parking spaces on the opposite side of the road. Restrictions operate 9am-6pm Monday - Friday and 9am-12noon Saturday.

Approach to main entrance: Wheelchair and pram access from the carpark via a ramp to two sets of automatic doors.

Internal access: The library is on one level. Accessibility for wheelchairs and prams is good. Catalogues are on high tables.

Public toilets: Male/Female toilets adjoining Mooroolbark Library which are accessible from outside the library. They each have an accessible toilet.

 


 

Mt Evelyn Library


exit mt evelyn libraryParking: 4 unlimited spaces in small car park to side of library located 20 metres to left of main entrance. One accessible space in the large carpark next to cafe situated 25 metres to the right of main entrance. All other parking in the direct vicinity of the library is 2 hour parking including 6 spaces at the front of the library.

Approach to main entrance: Access via steps or ramp to manual doors. Wheelchair access from
large car park to entrance.

Internal access: There is one step leading down into the teen area and another step leading up to the junior area. Clear navigation with signs.

Public toilets: One accessible unisex toilet.

 


 

Ringwood Library

entrance Ringwood LibraryParking: There is free 2 hour parking in the carpark to the left of the library entrance (enter from Ringwood Street). This carpark also has 10 minute parking and accessible parking spaces. In the undercover carpark below the library there is free 3 hour parking (enter from Warrandyte Rd or Maroondah Highway). There is free 4 hour parking at Eastland near the KMart and Myer entrances (enter via Ringwood Street).

Approach to main entrance: Wheelchair/pram access is excellent. No ramps, no stairs or steps outside of the building. Cars can be driven right to the door for those who have difficulty accessing from the carpark. (cars then need to be parked in the car park). Taxis can drop off or pick up passengers at the door. Easy access from Ringwood station (just across Maroondah Hwy) and Ringwood bus terminals.

Internal access: The library is on one level. Access for wheelchairs and prams is excellent. Catalogues are on high benches.

Rowville Library

Approach to main entrance: Footpath and ramp from carpark to automatic doors. Wheelchair/pram access from car park to entrance.

Internal access: The library is on one level. The circulation desk is high but there is wheelchair access to the information desk, public pcs and catalogue. Wheelchair/pram access around library and in the aisles. Clear navigation with signs.

Yarra Junction Library

entrance Yarra JunctionParking: Car park is situated 20 metres to the right of main entrance. Accessible parking spaces 10 metres from automatic doors. Most parking is unlimited, however there is some restricted parking at the rear of library.

Approach to main entrance: Wheelchair/pram access via ramp to two sets of automatic doors.

Internal access: The library is on one level. People are able to access 95% of the library with a wheelchair/pram.

Public toilets: Male/Female/Accessible, baby change.
